Mother Moon 04:35
[Verse 1] It’s been building for a while now, growing for some time. It was planted in the seeds of resistance, over time. It was picked on the plantations, forged in hearths of fire, it was stitched in burning buildings, and crossed in picket lines. It was broken with the treaties, and stolen with the land… It was carved into the Sacred sites, and flowed with the oil in the pipes. It was hammered into railway ties, no Irish need apply… It was blown up with the mountain tops and coughed up with the Black lungs of the mines. [Chorus] Mother Moon, will you help me write a tune? A tune to turn the tide, to help the people rise. Mother Moon, will you help me write a tune? A tune to turn the tide, to help the people rise. [Verse 2] From the West Coast to the East, yeah, the people with unite, black, brown, red, yellow and white standing side by side. Cuz’ it’s a battle for the land, it’s a battle for our rights, it’s a battle for our freedom and the future of our children’s children. And the playing field ain’t even, the stars may not align, we may not have their weapons but we have our hearts and minds. So on we fight for Mother Earth, on we fight for Father Sky. We’ll keep fighting for the Sacred ’til the day we die. [Chorus] Mother Moon, will you help me write a tune? A tune to turn the tide, to help the people rise. Mother Moon, will you help me write a tune? A tune to turn the tide, to help the people rise.

[Intro] It’s the Age of Un-enlightenment and war machines, manufactured versions of reality. Pixels on the wall of the digital cave, brilliant slaves… [Verse 1] Apocalyptic sagas on the television screens multi-national corporations, limitless greed, advertised needs, genetically modified seeds, divide and conquer tactics and pyramid schemes. Humanitarian crisis, Taliban and ISIS, Jihadis and the Commies, and klepto-oligarchies, systematic neo-slavery in the penitentiaries… Fossil-fuel extraction, immediate satisfaction, orange-haired presidential DISTRACTIONS class lines widening, industrial ag & farming refusal to acknowledge any role in global-warming. Codified laws to richen the rich, sweat-shop labor drop the cost of the stitch, imperialist agendas and doomed referenda, surveillance state, stripped of civil liberty. [Chorus Prayer] [Verse 2] It’s the governmental subsidies, the self-destructive tendencies, the melting ice caps, and climate refugees, It’s the toxins in the water, the chemicals in the food, The amphetamines for the kids to control their moods… Wisdom locked in homes, militarized drones, non-lethal force, rubber bullets to the dome. Training young minds for the assembly lines, “get a job, pay the bills, build that credit you’ll be fine…” It’s the age of un-enlightenment and liberal entitlement, nuclear armament and moral(e) abandonment, The art of resistance, commitment and persistence, Teetering on the verge of the sixth mass extinction. Call it what you want, call it what you will, Yeah that drinkin’ water’s gone when the pipeline spills, Bottle up what’s left for (what?) a couple dollar bills? Fill the till… rape and kill…. [Chorus Prayer 2] [Verse 3] It’s material possessions and planned obsolescence... It’s the anti-depressed, murdering adolescents... It’s the wars between the nations and meaningless conversations... Projects to maintain master-slave relations… Oxycontin for the pain, "that THC will rot your brain." Psilocybin just say no, “drugs are not the way.” Cultural oppression, genocide, appropriation… Work that whole year for your seven-day vacation… Manifest destiny’s at stake, assassinations by the state, kill the people for believing we control our fate. Mal-intentions in disguise, corruption on the rise, the powers at be drowning in their own lies… Mainstream media, syndicated mania, fear-induced control, governance by Marshall Law. Trickle-down economies, complete and utter fallacies… Building those walls as the Empire falls… As the Empire falls.

[Verse 1] I traveled to the edge to see exactly what it means to be. If people came together, and listened to each other, rid ourselves of every frequency but love… Just imagine where we’d be as people, where we’d be as one. The system we’ve designed is broken at the spine. It’s not the fault of yours or mine. Forget the isms and sides, unify this great divide… Break the paradigm, it’s the story of our time. [Chorus] And I don’t have the answers just the questions and commitment to a higher state of being than the confines that we’re living here. What’s your story? What’s your reason? How’s that life you think you’re livin’? How you feeling ‘bout the future? Will you join us Black Snake Killers? Sick the dogs, bring the mace, desecrate this is sacred space, I am standing here in prayer get your gun out of my face. To my brothers and my sisters holding down that front line, trust in Spirit hey, trust in Spirit we’ll be fine. [Verse 2] There will come a time when we drop the yours and mine. When we give not to receive, and we love not to deceive. What’s it mean to own the land? Will you take my open hand? Walk this road and help the others understand? The edge came near, I felt the fear. Grinning wide, ear to ear, I opened up my fist and lay down my spear… [Chorus] And I don’t have the answers just the questions and commitment to a higher state of being than the confines that we’re living here.

Oceti 03:27
[Verse 1] I came into this place with a heart of gold. Eyes wide shut, yeah, stories un-told. The drum beat steady as we danced along the earth. Hearts at the ready, what’s it really worth, now? Good morning relatives, remember why you’re here. Remember where you came from, do not live in fear. This ain’t no vacation, we are a sovereign nation. Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ, We are all related. And… [Chorus] We pledge our allegiance to the land, underneath our feet right where we stand. Civil disobedience is all that we have. Take back the power and we’ll take… we’ll take down the man. [Verse 2] The alchemist at work, that gold began to soften, speaking through the truths of teachings not forgotten. Here we stand, for the water and the land. Here we stand four colors hand in hand with the buffalo on the hills and smoke from the chimney tops eagles in the sky, no better day to die. Oh I know she reads the letters, I know they don’t get lost as we break down the fetters, no matter what the cost. [Bridge] Thunder in the snowfall-laden sky don’t ask me why Spirit guides, and humans lie. Greed and pride, we despise, yet compromise, these rising tides Will soon take many, many, many lives. And so… [Chorus] We pledge our allegiance to the land, underneath our feet right where we stand. Civil disobedience is all that we have. take back the power and we’ll take down the man. Oceti. Oceti. Oceti. Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ, we are all related. We are all related here.

Compromises 03:36
[Verse 1] If they kill me for believing what they trained me not to think, will you read what the writer’s wrote, what the journalists report? I tried to fall in line, couldn't find no peace of mind, couldn't stand for all the injustice and inequality. I’d rather die this way than live in shame another day. A hundred years or so they say, Gotta find another… Gotta find another way. We’re the generation that will see it all… The rise and fall of evil minds, Western ways in slow decline. [Verse 2] Compromises must be made, Parking lots cannot be paved. Mother Earth will be OK, We’re the one’s we’ve gotta save. The smallest things aren’t small at all. The time is now, hear your call. Seven generations down the line Will stand tall… If we focus on the little things, Listen to the song she sings, “the good attracts the good” Believe in what the future brings Be here now, in this sound, drink the water, pass it ‘round. Dance your toes along the earth, let your body ground. [Outro Jam] Let your body ground, Let your body ground.

Be the Proof 03:41
[Verse 1] So where, where we gonna… gonna go from here? That carbon clock’s a tickin’ Tickin’ tock, just give me one more year. Now’s not the time, we’ll all be fine… Move along now child, nothing to see here. Pour a drink, grab a beer, drown that sorrow, bury deep the fear. [Chorus] Man might win the battle, but we’ll never win this war. Man might win the battle, but we’ll never win this war. [Verse 2] The winds of yesterday have blown far far away. The sunrise of tomorrow comes each and every single day. Chop the wood for your fire, it will warm you twice, they say. Call me crazy I just cannot see things any other way. [Chorus] Man might win the battle, but we’ll never win this war. Man might win the battle, but we’ll never win this war. [Verse 3] Morally divided, never compromise the truth. Ego tossed aside realize the answer’s in the youth. Confidence inside, compassionately rise… Be the Proof. Conscientiously reside, axe to the grind… Be the Proof. [Chorus] Man might win the battle, but we’ll never win this war. Man might win the battle, but we’ll never win this war. Man might win the battle, but we’ll never win this war. Man might win the battle, but we’ll never win this war alone.

Heal Song 05:48
[Verse 1] Come with what you’re wearing, Come with what you’ve got. Offer what you can, Forget everything you’re not. We’re spirits on a journey, rebels with a cause, lovers on a mission, healers with a vision… Guidance and direction, clearly set intentions… Feel the flow, leave your worries at home. [Chorus] Heal Song (x4) [Verse 2] Come with your darkness and come with your light. Come with that burden on your shoulder… Let it drop. Misfits and martyrs, manifestos and charters come together now… Rise together now… Take what it gives and give what it takes… Yeah the movement lives. The movement lives. Yeah come’on… [Bridge] [Verse 3] Come with your Cedar and come with your Sage. Lay down your tobacco and write a new page. This new chapter filled with love & laughter… Find inside, everything you’re after… Come with your frequency, medicines & deities… HEAL [Chorus] Heal Song (x4)
10.
[Verse 1] Each and every time I try to understand these times I lose hope. Each and every time I realign my mind to figure out the scope. We have so far to go. You’re needed more than you know. This revolution will be slow. These seeds of change need time to grow… So take this medicine with you as you go. [Bridge] Cuz’ this moment is the movement; this movement is here to stay. Yeah this moment is the movement; this movement is here to stay. [Chorus] It’s times like these we have gotta breathe. Gotta stop the spread of this disease. [Verse 2] Each and every day we have a choice to make. Each and every day we heal this pain. Hope is for the hopeful, truth is for the true. We got nothing more to gain here, nothing more to lose. Take your finger off the trigger, the knots out of your noose, end these systems oppression, these patterns of abuse… Cuz’ the land she has spoken, we must find another way. Redefine and re-invent our social ways and government today. [Bridge] This moment is the movement; this movement is here to stay. Yeah this moment is the movement; this movement is here to stay. [Chorus] It’s times like these we have gotta breathe. Gotta stop the spread of this disease. [Outro] This moment is the movement; this movement is here to stay. This moment is the movement; this movement is here to stay. This moment is the movement; this movement is here to stay. Yeah this moment is the movement; this movement is here to stay.

about

A collection of songs recorded Jan. 14, 2021 at River Rock Studios in Northeast Mpls, MN on the ancestral homelands of the Dakhóta which were written during, & inspired by, ongoing travels throughout the territories of the Očéti Šakówiŋ & Anishinaabe people.

The songs in this collection are written and performed live by Eóin. "Peace, Love & Pipelines" is dedicated to all of the warriors on the front lines fighting extractive industries & the corporate state, specifically the comrades actively engaged in the efforts to stop Enbridge's Line 3 (#StopLine3) & the Dakota Access Pipelines (#NoDAPL) which played central roles in the making of this work.

Extending a huge special thanks to the following friends & family, you know who you are, who gave me the courage to give this project a shot and/or made the whole thing possible: Lipset, Bonnie, Jim, Dan, Izak, Rico, Sese, Jordon, Wonderbread, Mom, Mr. L, Kevin, Wendy & Mark :)
